It's safe to say that a lot has changed since cigar enthusiasts were last treated to a Timeless TAA limited cigar release. The year was 2020 and the Timeless TAA was upended by the global pandemic, eventually leading to the Nat Sherman brand's demise as well. But former Nat Sherman employees Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott were not content seeing the brands they had built over the past decade become a part of the history books, acquiring all Nat Sherman brands under their Ferio Tego upstart.
Enter 2022, where Ferio Tego has picked up the torch from the former Timeless TAA release, showcasing the Ferio Tego Timeless TAA 2022. This is a special project, sold exclusively through retailers that are members of the Tobacconists' Association of America (TAA). With Ferio Tego being one of roughly a dozen manufacturers to offer a limited-edition TAA cigar, the company has worked closely with the esteemed Plasencia family of tobacco artisans to showcase a special smoking experience.
The Ferio Tego Timeless TAA 2022 cigar is rolled from a similar recipe to its predecessor, including an Estelí-grown Nicaraguan wrapper and Jalapa-grown Nicaraguan binder/fillers. This Nicaraguan puro is rolled in a singular 6" x 50 toro format that was selected to best suit the tobacco blend. The result is a supremely balanced yet flavorful concoction, offering a medium-full intensity and layered flavors of mineral, roasted nuts, semi-sweet chocolate, and touches of cinnamon.
