My Father Fonseca Mexican Edition

Debuting near the turn of the 20th century, the Fonseca brand has seen its fair share of renditions over the years. Aside from an ongoing production in Cuba, the brand was primarily known as a Dominican offering from the Quesada family. This changed in 2019, with the García family (of My Father Cigars fame) acquiring the rights to Fonseca from the Quesadas.

Half a decade later, the Garcías followed the Fonseca by My Father cigar with a proper maduro sibling: My Father Fonseca Edition MX (aka Fonseca Edición San Andrés). The "MX" in the cigar's title refers to the cigar's signature Mexican wrapper ingredient, a dark San Andrés maduro leaf. As is expected from the Garcías, the interior recipe is made up entirely from Nicaraguan tobaccos, being grown on the family's farms throughout the country.

The My Father Fonseca Edition MX cigar is fuller in intensity than the original Fonseca by My Father, offering a medium-full experience, with standout characteristics of earth, black pepper, smoked hickory, and sweet cocoa through the finish.
