Ferio Tego Milestones

Ferio Tego Milestones brings together cigars and jazz in a way that is especially personal for company co-owner Michael Herklots. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Herklots studied drum set performance and played in the school’s Miles Davis Ensemble. The cigar was created in partnership with the Miles Davis Estate and Reservoir Media to honor what would have been Davis’ 100th birthday, taking its name from the jazz legend’s landmark 1958 album, Milestones.

Crafted in Honduras, the Milestones cigar is rolled in a 6" x 50 toro format. The blend pairs an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper with a Honduran binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Ferio Tego designed the cigar to land on the milder side in strength, with Herklots noting the cigar's structure, nuance, restraint, and depth as guiding ideas behind the blend.

The presentation carries the Miles Davis connection beyond the cigar itself, with each box including a reproduction of one of four sketches created by Davis, along with access to a curated playlist assembled for the project. The result is a limited-edition cigar built around the same balance Herklots sees in Davis’ music: approachable enough to enjoy immediately, but with enough detail to reward closer attention.
