The Pi Synesthesia series kicked off in 2022, being one of the first cigars from Ozgener Family Cigars as the company's founder, Tim Ozgener, returned to the premium cigar industry after a two-decade hiatus. The cigar's unique title was inspired by art, math, color, and taste. It's a complex narrative to navigate, but the general concept involves evoking the taste of a particular color in terms of a smoking profile... ambitious, to say the least.

Where the original Pi Synesthesia cigar was themed around the color yellow, the Pi Synesthesia Red is logically tied to red. This time around, Ozgener polled fans of the brand on what they thought red tasted like, which amounted to that of heat, red peppers, hot sauces, and the like. Ozgener then partnered with industry legend E.P. Carrillo and his Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the DR to accomplish the task of bringing the smoke to life.

The Ozgener Pi Synesthesia Red cigar is rolled in a single 6" x 52 toro format, boasting Carrillo's signature Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper along with all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers. This is indeed a spicy concoction, amounting to a medium-full-bodied profile of toasted cedar, red pepper flakes, cinnamon, and spiced nuts through the retrohale.
