Cigar Dojo Uru Doshi by Alec Bradley

In the cold winter beginnings of 2020, Cigar Dojo teamed up with Alec & Bradley Cigars for the duo's first-ever collaboration, releasing the beloved Uru Doshi cigar to coincide with the unusual concept of Leap Day. Drawing inspiration from The Dojo's Asian influence, Uru Doshi represents the Japanese term for leap year, being an elusive beast of a cigar that can only be found on the fleeting date that is February 29th.

In the years since, it has been teased that the cigars would return on a four-year basis, slightly amping up the strength with each release to allow for one of the most unique comparisons in the realm of limited cigar series. As such, 2024 marks the first followup release, with the Uru Doshi 2024 cigar returning for Leap Day 2024!

As eerily familiar as Leap Day itself, Alec & Bradley Uru Doshi 2024 returns with nearly the same look, feel, size, and recipe. With this go-'round, the cigars feature a new purple color scheme (differing from the burnt orange of the original), being rolled out of the very same Raíces Cubanas factory of Honduras in the cigar's original toro format. The blend retains the Honduran wrapper, double binder (Honduras and Nicaragua), and fillers of Honduras and Nicaragua. This includes the same selections of Honduran tobaccos from lots not seen throughout Alec Bradley’s acclaimed portfolio, leading to the cigar's signature profile of iron-rich red meat and a distinctly mouthwatering texture. With Uru Doshi 2024, the blend has been slightly boosted in terms of intensity, leading to a medium-plus body capable of aging to perfection over the course of the next four years... However, there's also no shame in smoking the full stash right off the truck!
