Growing up in the premium cigar industry, brothers Alec and Bradley Rubin watched their father convert a small business venture into one of the largest premium cigar entities in the world (Alec Bradley Cigar Co.) over the course of their lives. And when the Rubins came of age, they were ready and eager to follow in their father's footsteps, launching a brand of their own (Alec & Bradley Cigars) in 2018 as a means to bring their unique perspective and creativity to life within the Alec Bradley umbrella.

Alec & Bradley Cigars has grown steadily in the years following, unveiling new core-line projects on an annual basis. In their junior year, the duo unveiled Kintsugi as their third release. Kintsugi draws inspiration from a Japanese art form—a technique in where broken pottery is mended with lacquers that have been mixed with metallic powders such as gold, silver, or platinum. The result is unexpected beauty, where imperfections are highlighted rather than concealed, allowing each piece of pottery to tell its own unique story and journey.

Bringing the kintsugi concept into the realm of premium cigars, the Rubins contend that cigars have the unique ability to bring people together—our passion for premium cigars is the gold lacquer that binds. Alec & Bradley Kintsugi makes use of a Habano wrapper, a double binder of Nicaragua and Honduras, and fillers of Nicaragua and Honduras as well. Rolled at the famed Raíces Cubanas factory in Honduras, Kintsugi takes on a medium body, boasting atypical flavors not readily found in parent company, Alec Bradley's, portfolio, including standout nuances of citrus, sourdough, nutmeg, floral honey, and sweet nougat.

I think this was an interesting cigar from AB. It did have some creaminess as expected from a Connecticut wrappers but not too much. It was a medium bodied smoke and had some hint of pepper which I enjoyed. I’d recommend it for a smoker that enjoys Connecticut wrappers.

I have not had everything by Alec Bradley but this cigar here is my favorite of the ones that I have had. Nice creamy smoke and easy on the retrohale.

I bought a box and almost every cigar had a draw issue. Wasn’t to impressed with these and won’t buy more

  • Jeremy Caudill - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Robusto
This is a great medium bodied cigar. Its one of A & B's better smokes for sure.

This is an underrated cigar in my opinion. It is a fantastic med-bodied cigar with creamy smoke, and nutty and spicy notes.

This cigar was one of my favorite cigars of 2021. It is a great medium body cigar that goes well with coffee and can stand up to bourbon. It has a lot of coffee notes in it and some chocolate notes the draw is always great. Another gym from Alec Bradley

AB has never been a favorite of mine, but this Kintsugi is one of the better ones. I have had a few of these now and the draw is a bit tight, not bad where I need to fix it with a draw tool, but a snug build. The flavors are medium and all grassy, earthy, notes with touch of creamy leathers. Very consistent flavors that build up a bit when about halfway through. Solid burn with nothing needed, even on this muggy SWFL night. No issues or complaints, and will grab anyone one in the future when I look to switch up from my usual flavor profiles.

One of the first cigars that I bought a box of! My palette has moved further into the darker end of the spectrum, but I still enjoy the Kintsugi with a good cup of coffee!
  • Michael Cruz

Michael Cruz - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro
Medium body smoke that burns consistent through out with a great draw as well.
  • Chad M

Chad M - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro
This is a great cigar by Alec and Bradley cigars. Its a lighter cigar with some mineral sweetness with some light retrohale spice. Hints of dough bread come a go during the smoke.
  • Chad Manson - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro
A nice smooth, medium smoke to me. Really creamy and nutty. Smoked to the nub.
  • Michael Anderson - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro
The Kintsugi is a refreshing take when your looking to switch up from the usual flavor profiles.
  • Joseph Gehl - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro
Got this out of sampler. Was the best Alec Bradley i had had up till that point. Would buy again very good smoke.
  • JACOB NEELY - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro
A little bit of funk complements the citrus and bready notes on this cigar. I really enjoyed this, and would place it near the top of the AB portfolio.
  • Shawn Schaffer - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro (Verified buyer)
This was a nice cigar that doesn’t hit my preferred profile as well as others. More medium in body with creaminess, nuttiness and spice. Worth trying for those who lean more medium!
  • Randy Alford - Alec Bradley Kintsugi Toro - 5 Pack (Verified buyer)
Solid cigar with what I call French toast on the exhale. Flavor does not change throughout and can get monotone.
