Tatuaje TAA Exclusive 2023

Dating back to 2011, Tatuaje is considered the OG in terms of TAA Exclusive Series releases, with the 2024 launch of the Tatuaje TAA 2023 cigar (yeah yeah, it's a year late; big deal) marking the 12th release in Tatuaje's ongoing TAA series.

Tatuaje's TAA releases were originally known for their Broadleaf-wrapped maduro recipe, only breaking trend with the 2013, 2019, and 2020 releases. The company took a year off in 2021, but the 2022 release onwards have returned to the fan-favorite recipe seen on the bulk of Tatuaje TAA releases.

With the Tatuaje TAA 2023, company owner, Pete Johnson, showcases the cigars in a 6 3/8 x 54 toro format—a size that had previously only been used on the Tatuaje TAA 2013. However, unlike the aforementioned 2013 cigar, the 2023 release is box-pressed and features the tried-'n-true recipe of Nicaraguan binders/fillers wrapped in a gritty Connecticut Broadleaf maduro cover leaf. This is a large and commanding format, smoking for around two hours with nicely balanced flavors for the maduro maniac Expect a medium-full body, hitting notes of earth, black pepper, toasted oak, brown sugar, and stone fruit through the finish.
