Plus, with all sorts of different features like guest speakers, special dinners, or whiskey tastings, it’s about more than just cigars, it about having a good time. So what cigar events should you check out this year? We’ve got a few that should definitely interest you.

The Great Smoke 2022: The Last Luau

With a new luau theme this year, The Great Smoke 2022 promises to be one of the biggest cigar events of the year. Running from February 24th through the 27th, this event is packed full of things to do. Tickets are available on The Great Smoke website. The event will feature both an online and in-person option, however, the online tickets are already sold out. Never fear, you can still attend the event in person as there are still some tickets left for sale.

One of the main highlights leading up to the event is the exclusive cigars for sale only to TGS ticket holders. There have already been some amazing releases from Aganorsa Leaf, Dunbarton, Espinosa, and Room 101. On February 9th, another great drop is coming from Adventura Cigars, but you must get your tickets first in order to be able to purchase it.

The event will feature some great things to do both online and in-person with guest speakers coming to both the event and your living room. The full list of guest speakers can be found on the TGS website, but some highlights of the lineup include Rocky Patel of Rocky Patel Cigars, Nick Perdomo Jr of Perdomo Cigars, Erik Espinosa of Espinosa Cigars, Matt Booth of Room 101 Cigars, and Steve Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust. The Great Smoke is a great way to meet some titans of the industry and gain some great knowledge about some of your favorite premium cigar brands.

In addition to the guest speakers, there will be several other activities during the event, including a private luau dinner hosted by the Red Meat Lovers Club. The main event itself will feature cigars, cigar accessories, beer, spirits, food, and more! The Great Smoke this year is called the last luau because this is the last luau you will ever need to attend. This is one event you do not want to miss.

Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival

The Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival is one of this year’s special cigar events set to take place at the beautiful Omni Interlocken Resort in Bloomfield, Colorado on August 27th. A ticket to this event will ensure that you meet some of the biggest cigar makers and celebrities from around the world.

In addition to the great guests that will be in attendance at the event, you will also get to walk away with a nice swag bag full of cigars, samples, cutter, lighter, event glass, t-shirt, drink tickets for the event, and more!

The festival is designed to attract consumers of high-end products, and they do so by having fine cigars, high-end cigar accessories, local craft beers, fine wine, and amazing food. If that sounds like a good time to you, then you can head to the festival website to get your tickets.

The Big Smoke Presented By Cigar Aficionado

Not to be confused with the Great Smoke, The Big Smoke is an event hosted by the famous cigar magazine Cigar Aficionado in Las Vegas. The event is a huge night out for cigar smokers featuring some legendary cigar brands such as My Father, Padron, Rocky Patel, Arturo Fuente, and more!

While no official date has been announced yet for this year’s event, the Big Smoke is usually held in early November. The event is perfect for anyone looking to expand their knowledge about the cigar industry. The Big Smoke hosts a variety of panels hosted by big names in the cigar industry. Some of the highlights from last year’s show included three separate panels going over the Top 3 cigars from the year before, allowing those in attendance to try the cigar and listen to explanations on the cigar and why it was chosen for the spot it was. Another hit from last year’s show was the Fine Rum and Handcrafted Cigars panel. This featured a tasting event pairing Altadis cigars with the Bacardi family of rums. In addition to those panels, the editors of the magazine host their own panel, allowing their readers to ask them questions, pick their brains, and find out more about what makes Cigar Aficionado so successful.

As previously mentioned, the 2022 edition of The Big Smoke does not yet have a date announced, but you can go to their website to stay updated.

Ybor City Cigar Heritage Festival

Ybor is not nicknamed Cigar City for nothing. There is so much history in and around Ybor City that it only makes sense to have a cigar festival to honor the heritage and the legacy of the cigar culture that has come through the city.

This year’s festival is still quite a ways away as it does not happen until December, but we already have some great information about the event to share. First, general admission to the festival is free, so that is obviously a huge plus.

The festival features hundreds of premium, handmade cigars from all over the world, and includes some of the biggest cigar brands in the industry. It also features a wide selection of food and dessert trucks, a large truck serving wine and beer, and an assortment of over 150 different vendors selling unique cigars, jewelry, clothing, and art.

The event is outdoors but if you prefer to smoke cigars inside away from the elements, no worries. The festival has two portable cigar lounges set up that will make sure you can smoke in comfort. All in all, the Ybor City Cigar Heritage Festival is a great way to try some new things and really dive headfirst into the culture surrounding cigars.
