Believe it or not, Nick Perdomo was once opposed to the idea of a Connecticut-wrapped cigar, instead focusing his efforts on the more powerful characteristics of Cuban-seed tobaccos grown in Nicaragua. Eventually, he was swayed by his father's fondness for a certain Connecticut leaf grown in Ecuador. Differing from the bitter and overly subtle qualities he'd been accustomed to with Connecticut wrapper, this leaf was butterscotch in color and sweet and creamy in flavor. When combined with the Perdomos' own fuller-bodied Nicaraguan tobaccos, something exceptional was born...

Enter the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne cigar, a blend that is often credited with kicking off the modern craze of fuller-bodied Connecticut smoking experiences. The cigars first debuted in 2002, celebrating Perdomo's milestone 10th anniversary. But while many such celebratory cigars come and go, the legendary Champagne has remained one of the world's best-selling cigars to this day!

A true classic, the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne first catches your eye in the humidor with its signature champagne-colored cellophane (a nice touch!). But it's the smoking experience that keeps you coming back, with the creamy Connecticut wrapper being amplified by the full-flavored core of Nicaraguan tobaccos beneath. Additionally, all tobaccos within the blend are aged for a minimum of six years. As the finishing touch, the signature Connecticut ingredient undergoes a secondary fermentation in spent bourbon barrels, bringing out a unique complexity that sets it apart from the competition. The cigars are fuller in body (in the medium range) than Connecticut smokers may be used to, offering a thick smoking texture and in-your-face flavors of buttered toast, white pepper, cream soda, and butterscotch through the finish.

    This one is a hard review for me because it isn’t one I’d buy again. It is just to mild for me. With that being said I would highly recommend this to a new smoker the construction is spot on like all Perdomo cigars are. The flavor notes were noticeable with help develop your pallet. For the price I’d say give it a try

    This is such a great and consistent cigar that it seems like near impossible to make something so consistent but Perdomo does it. This cigar is best in the morning, but can be smoked anytime. Its a great creamy light cigar. Recommend keeping boxes on hand with this one.
