With the Devil Crab project, West Tampa Tobacco Co. taps into a slice of hometown history. Named after the spicy, thrifty croquettes born during Tampa’s cigar strikes of the 1920s, this limited release is a nod to the resourcefulness and grit that built Ybor City—and shaped Rick Rodriguez’s own story.
Handmade at the Garmendia Cigar Co. factory in Nicaragua, the Devil Crab cigar comes in a plump 4½" x 60 perfecto, finished with a pig-tail cap. While the full blend remains under wraps, it features a dark oscuro wrapper and a mix of select tobaccos inside. It’s a medium-bodied smoke, crafted to offer rich flavors of earth, spice, and a touch of natural sweetness, layered over a slow, even burn.
More than just a cigar, the Devil Crab is a tribute to a city, a food, and a community that knows how to make the most out of what it has. Each box even comes with a devil crab recipe card, letting you savor the tradition in more ways than one.
