West Tampa Attic Series

The Attic Series from West Tampa Tobacco Co. offers a window into Rick Rodriguez’s past. This ongoing limited-edition project digs into blends he’s kept “locked away” for decades, each one telling part of the story behind his 30-year journey through the cigar world. The debut release, simply titled Attic, sets the tone: personal, bold, and built on experience.

Rolled at the Garmendia Cigars factory in Estelí, Attic is a 6" x 54 toro extra dressed in a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, with a Nicaraguan binder from Condega and fillers from both Condega and Estelí. It’s medium-to-full in strength but full in flavor, offering a dense profile of earth, dark chocolate, pepper, and sweet wood. The construction is solid, the draw deliberate—just as you’d expect from a blend Rodriguez has had stashed for years.

Limited in production and packed with meaning, the Attic Series is Rodriguez’s way of letting the blends do the talking. With each release, another piece of the story comes down from the attic—and it’s clear there’s plenty more worth unpacking.
