The original Rose of Sharon (ROS) was one of two cigars (the other being Jacobs Ladder) introduced by the Texas-based Southern Draw Cigars in 2017, quickly gaining traction in the craft scene to become the company's most sought-after offerings. Each of these contrasting blends were then expanded upon in the years following, receiving amped-up renditions that took on a life of their own...

Enter the Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Desert Rose, arguably the most intensely flavorful Connecticut-style cigar of the modern era. Desert Rose takes the somewhat delicate nature of the original ROS cigar and cranks it to eleven! Now, this doesn't mean that the Desert Rose will be competing for any nicotine-bomb awards, simply that its flavor and body are perhaps unlike anything we've seen before.

Southern Draw accomplishes this through the use of high-priming Corojo ’99 and Piloto Cubano ligero filler leaves from Honduras and the Dominican Republic in the filler. This core is then bound in a Nicaraguan Habano leaf and finalized in a slightly rustic Ecuadorian cloud-grown Connecticut Shade wrapper. The end result is deeply satisfying, bringing the creaminess and smooth smoking texture of a traditional Connecticut, yet being backed by mouthfuls of long-lasting flavor! This includes characteristics of overly buttered toast, salted butter, toasted marshmallow, burnt caramel, sweet cream cheese, and buttered crackers. With Desert Rose, your morning smoke may also become your midday and late-night go-to as well... don't say we didn't warn you.
