Perdomo Legacy Father and Son

Perdomo Legacy Father & Son takes the family theme behind the original Perdomo Legacy and turns it into a true collaboration between generations. The project brings together Nick Perdomo Jr. and his son, Nicholas Perdomo III, with each creating a blend of his own and the two joining forces on a third. At the center of all three cigars is a proprietary hybrid tobacco developed by Perdomo Jr., combining Habano and Cameroon seed varieties to give the line a common thread despite three very different wrapper treatments.

All three blends use the hybrid leaf for the binder, backed by aged Nicaraguan fillers from Condega, Estelí, and Jalapa. Perdomo Jr. developed the Shade Grown version, which also uses the hybrid tobacco as its wrapper, allowing more of its Cameroon-like character to come through. Perdomo III handled the Maduro, topping the same core with a dark Nicaraguan wrapper, while father and son worked together on the Connecticut, using an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper for the lightest expression of the trio. The tobaccos used throughout the project come from harvests dating between 2011 and 2016.

Each version is rolled in the same unique box-pressed 6" x 48/60/52 gran figurado format, giving hobbyists a chance to see how three different approaches can shape the same underlying blend concept. The Connecticut leans toward the smoother and creamier end of the spectrum, the Shade Grown puts more emphasis on the character of Perdomo’s proprietary hybrid leaf, and the Maduro brings greater richness and depth. Together, the three cigars make the Perdomo Legacy Father & Son name more than a family reference, showing how two generations of Perdomo blending can work from the same foundation and arrive at distinctly different results.
