Montecristo Platinum Series

The "goldish" hue of the Montecristo Classic line has gone Platinum! Launched in 2002 to cater to aficionado's growing demand for fuller flavor and bodied cigars, the Montecristo Platinum delivers. Made with select Mexican Cubano wrapper grown in the legendary San Andres Valley along with a robust Dominican binder and a balanced blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan and Peruvian long filler tobaccos, the Platinum delivers notes of dried fruit, earth and hickory that will give you that robust full flavor beyond that of the traditional line.

Customer Reviews

  • Michelle Pauser - Montecristo Platinum Series Robusto
I smoked mine from COTM and had construction issues so bad I couldn't finish it. What I was able to smoke was pleasant with great flavor. Obviously I had to light Tom's from his COTM to see if it could be a winner. Slightly better but only got just past the half way mark before it failed. If you can keep it lit, it's going to deliver really nicely in the flavor department.
  • John Kenny - Montecristo Platinum Series Toro
Not your average Montecristo. I don't know if it's the Peruvian leaf in the blend, but this cigar is definitely a departure from the classic Dominican flavor profiles I'm accustomed to. Leathery and spicy, but no heat. I regular in my rotation, for sure.
  • Lialew Lee - Montecristo Platinum Series Toro
When I started these were decent sticks. Now that I got more EXP with cigars. Every time I smoke one of these, it isn’t that great. It’s below average for me. I’ve smoke a couple weeks apart and it isn’t as good as it was when I first started. I say give these a try when you are first trying out. The company isn’t a bad one at all and the name is big too but for me, it doesn’t live to its brand with this stick.

Has some Peruvian tobaccy. Very tasty and maybe earthy and mineral but tasty as heck. Not too strong- med body, full flavor. Great smoke
