Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco

Since 2013, Joya de Nicaragua has celebrated specific anniversaries and milestones for the company through their Obras Maestras (Masterpieces) series. This began with the fan-favorite Cuatro Cinco blend (celebrating their 45th anniversary), and has now expanded to the JDN Cinco de Cinco cigar, commemorating the company's 55th anniversary a decade later.

Joya has always had a little fun with titles in this series; sure, the correct Spanish term would be Cincuenta y Cinco, but Cinco de Cinco is unquestionably more fun to say! (And easier on the non-bilinguals among us...). In terms of tobacco, the cigars showcase a Mexican wrapper for the first time in the series. With a dark San Andrés maduro cover, the blend is rounded out by Joya's specialty of ultra-vintage Nicaraguan leaf throughout the interior.

Joya de Nicaragua Cinco de Cinco is rolled in a variety of soft-pressed formats, jumping out the gate with a full flavor profile backed by a medium-full intensity. The pressed shape allows for a cool smoking temperature, unveiling punchy-yet-sophisticated flavors of mineral-rich soil, baker's cocoa, toasted oak, and Mexican hot chocolate.
