Joya de Nicaragua's Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial cigar first debuted in 2013 as the Cuatro Cinco Edición Limitada. The name represents four and five, as the year marked Joya's milestone 45th anniversary. This numeric theme has since continued throughout the company's most elite lineup, now including the Cinco Décadas, Número Uno, and more.

While the blend was originally intended to be a limited edition, overwhelming demand encouraged Joya to bring the Cuatro Cinco on full-time. Relaunched two years later, the Cuatro Cinco now boasts a slightly tweaked version of the original blend, rolled by the talented artisans of Joya's famed factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. This top-tier recipe begins with a dark Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper, which is secured over a Dominican binder and a special filler blend of Grade-A Nicaraguan leaves that are aged in vintage white oak barrels.

The resulting blend is unsurprisingly one of the most acclaimed smoking experiences in Joya de Nicaragua's lineup, offering a deep experience for the seasoned cigar hobbyist. Expect a near-full body and rich characteristics of charred oak, earth, bittersweet espresso, cinnamon, and chocolate-covered cherries.
