Each year, roughly a dozen cigar manufacturers partner with the Tobacconists' Association of America (TAA), crafting new cigar sizes and/or blends to be sold exclusively by retailers that are members of the TAA. New for 2023, Espinosa Premium Cigars is taking part in the festivities for the first time!
Digging into the company's vast library of fan-favorite brands, Espinosa turns their sight toward one of their oldest: Murcielago. Spanish for Bat, the Murcielago has long served as the Bat-Signal for maduro maniacs the world over. But sometimes, when not under the cover of darkness, even Bruce Wayne has to get his hands dirty (yeah, we're really sticking with this metaphor...).
Introducing the Espinosa Murcielago de Oro TAA 2023 cigar, a lighter-wrapped variation on the Espinosa Mucielago classic. With this limited-edition project, the company has based the cigar on the San Andrés-wrapped Murcielago, exchanging the cigar's signature maduro wrapper for a lighter claro shade leaf selection. The Murcielago de Oro also includes all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers from A.J. Fernández, amounting to a more nuanced, slightly fuller-bodied take on the maduro original.
Rolled in a singular 6" x 54 oval-pressed toro format, the Espinosa Murcielago de Oro TAA 2023 cigar has been limited to only 1,500 boxes of 20 cigars for the year.
