El Mago Tin Mr. Almond #2

El Mago Mr. Almond is one of two debut blends under El Mago's collector-fueled Tin Series. The concept behind the project comes from founder Nick Fusco’s interest in vintage tobacco tins, with each release tied to original artwork and an ongoing character-driven storyline, giving Mr. Almond a little more personality before the cigar is even out of the tin.
For the blend itself, Mr. Almond is offered in a 5" x 50 box-pressed robusto and uses a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over a U.S. Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan fillers. As part of the limited Tin Series, production is capped at 5,000 cigars in total, with each tin holding five cigars. Compared with the other debut entry in the series (Oyama Omen), this one is positioned as the slightly stronger expression, fitting of the heavier style suggested by the San Andrés and Broadleaf combination. 

On the palate, expect a profile centered on sweetness, almond, cocoa, and light spice, with enough body to feel fuller and more textured without becoming overdone. This makes Mr. Almond an easy fit for hobbyists who enjoy maduro-forward cigars with a dessert-like edge and a little extra weight through the middle of the smoke.
