La Historia Silk adds a more personal chapter to the Casa Carrillo portfolio. Created by Lissette Perez-Carrillo, the blend grew out of conversations with women across the cigar community, who helped guide the wrapper selection and final direction of the profile. Instead of functioning as a simple extension, Silk feels like a collaborative expression within the La Historia line.
Silk is rolled at Casa Carrillo in the Dominican Republic and departs from the traditional box-pressed La Historia look with a round 6" x 52 toro format. It features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper grown in Quevedo, supported by a Nicaraguan binder from Estelí and a four-nation filler blend that includes Nicaraguan Estelí, Pennsylvania Broadleaf, Dominican La Canela, and Mexican San Andrés. The body sits in the medium range, allowing complexity room to shine.
Once lit, the Silk cigar lands in the medium range with fuller flavor and a calm, composed texture. Notes of earth, sweetness, and spice unfold gradually, joined by soft cream, toasted wood, and a clean finish that lingers without heaviness. Burn and draw show the confidence of the factory, and the cigar feels balanced from start to finish, giving Silk its own voice within the La Historia family.
