This artesian ashtray is made completely by hand using machetes and chisels to create the familiar tobacco leaf shape by a single Nicaraguan family commissioned by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust. The soapstone used, called marmolina, was used to carve this piece, comes in unique colors and patterns making each ashtray truly one of a kind. The final touch of buffing with a gentle cloth is used to polish the ashtrays once the carving is complete.
