Davidoff leans into this symbolism with its latest Zodiac creation, drawing on the spirit of the Horse to shape a cigar made to commemorate 2026's Year of the Horse celebrations.

Behind the scenes, Davidoff’s blending team returned to a familiar well: their library of proprietary hybrid seeds, some of which date back more than four decades. These hybrids form the basis of an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder combination, joined by three Dominican vintage fillers chosen to introduce depth without sacrificing balance. The approach reflects Davidoff’s ongoing fascination with seed development, a process they describe as central to capturing the character behind each Zodiac release.

Once lit, the Year of the Horse 2026 cigar settles into a medium-plus body, weaving together flavors that are equal parts refined and soothing. Creamy textures lead the way, joined by chocolate, roasted hazelnut, and a subtle citrus that flickers in and out throughout the experience. Limited to a one-year run, the cigars are packaged to the nines, featuring green and red leather (complete with diamond stitching) surrounding wood accents and a solid wood exterior. It's a collector's piece that just so happens to contain 10 of the finest cigars you're likely to experience throughout the Year of the Horse celebrations.
