In the wild world of Arturo Fuente cigars, there are the premium offerings (Gran Reserva, Don Carlos), ultra premium (OpusX), and ultra ULTRA premium... In the latter camp, one such offering is the highly sought-after Fuente Fuente OpusX ForbiddenX 13, a smoking experience as fantastic as its name is long.

ForbiddenX 13 first launched in 2011, being made in extremely limited batches to commemorate Arturo Fuente's 100th anniversary. This rare cigar boasts the iconic OpusX band with a more sinister black color layout. Additionally, a unique sub-band differentiates this release with "13" emblazoned within a clock face design. This ties into the 13-count boxes, as well as a number of other hidden meanings for the legendary Fuente family.

Apart from being one of the more rare Fuentes available, the ForbiddenX 13 is also one of the most full-bodied. The cigar's recipe is kept under wraps, though the blend is thought to be a tweaked variation of the OpusX. However, what is known is the cigar's legendary performance, offering a unique combination of body and sweetness. This includes highlight characteristics of sweet maple syrup, baker's cocoa, rich earth, rain-soaked hardwoods, and an irresistible jam-like finish.
