For cigar enthusiasts, the Alec Bradley Project 40 cigar was one of the most delightful surprises of 2019. The project seemingly came out of left field, with AB showcasing an all-new look within their portfolio, partnering with a new manufacturer in Nicaragua, and showcasing a smooth, inherently sweet profile that, quite simply, could not be ignored.
It was then only a matter of time that the cigar received a proper maduro followup, coming by way of the Alec Bradley Project 40 Maduro. Both cigars fall under a new collection dubbed Alec Bradley Experimental Series, where AB is free to explore new and exciting concepts. Project 40 gets its name from a scientific theory describing how a given product can positively impact the end-user’s mind and body. Concerning premium cigars, it doesn't take much of a leap to see how the concept fits like a glove for the relaxing nature of this tasty hobby!
Alec Bradley Project 40 Maduro follows in the footsteps of the original Project 40 cigar, being rolled at the J. Fuego Cigar Co. de Nicaragua factory and making use of unique tobaccos not seen throughout the rest of AB's large lineup. This includes a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, Brazilian Habano binder, and all-Nicaraguan fillers. This combination amounts to a medium overall body, placing the spotlight on thoroughly enjoyable dessert-like flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, sweet malt, mocha, and candied nuts.
