New for 2022, Tatuaje has introduced a slew of fan-favorite blends, each sharing the theme of Mexican wrappers and going by the tongue-twisting name Tuxtla. This strange combination of letters (at least to the English-speaking Joe 6-pack smoker) is pronounced "Toos-tlah," and it represents the region of Mexico where San Andrés tobacco is grown.
For those familiar with Tatuaje's branding structure—where Capa Especial represents a Sumatra wrapper and Reserva signifies a Broadleaf wrapper—the Tuxtla may be a sign of a new San Andrés-wrapped addition to the collection. In its first run, this includes three famed Tatuaje cigars: Avion 13, T110, and Tatuaje 7th. Each of these cigars feature similar core blends to their original namesake cigar, showcasing a new Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper that makes for a new take on some old favorites.
Tatuaje Avion 13 Tuxtla
The Tatuaje Avion 13 Tuxtla is rolled in a 6⅞" x 52 perfecto format and is limited to 2,000 boxes. This is a medium-full blend with punchy flavors of earth, cocoa, peppered steak, and deep cream.
Tatuaje T110 Tuxtla
Known for its short yet punchy format, the Tatuaje T110 Tuxtla weighs in at 4⅜" x 52. This little firecracker is limited to 4,000 boxes, offering a hearty body and flavors of black pepper, earth, charred oak, and cinnamon.
Tatuaje 7th Tuxtla
The Tatuaje 7th Tuxtla is a beautiful corona gorda, sized at a connoisseur-favorite 5⅝" x 46. This cigar is limited to 2,000 boxes, bringing a concentrated smoke to the palate and standout notes of raw peppercorn, cocoa, sweet molasses, and black coffee.
