Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Midnight Twist

Beginning with the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Twisted cigar from 2022, Romeo y Julieta continues the twisted metaphor with the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Midnight Twist cigar.

As with the original, the brand cleverly plays on one of the most twisted love stories ever to be told, applying the theme to the striking visual of a classic barber pole cigar. Where the original was based on the core-line Reserva Real cigar, the Midnight Twist is a play off the Reserva Real Nicaragua cigar.

The project is a collaboration between cigar legends Rafael Nodal and AJ Fernández, featuring a Nicaraguan puro recipe from AJ's prized fields throughout the country. Of course, the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Midnight Twist's signature element is its contrasting wrapper, which was rolled using two shades of Nicaraguan wrapper: one light and one dark. Aside from the eye-catching look, the cigars boast classic Nicaraguan characteristics, being medium bodied and lighting up with lively flavors of cabinet spice, toasted rye bread, nutmeg, and sweet roasted nuts.
