You might look at the Leaf by Oscar and think there is something wrong with the wrapper, but what you are actually seeing is an EXTRA leaf on top of the cigar to protect it instead of cellophane. Once you remove that outer leaf your fears will be assuaged, as you are treated to a smooth, premium-wrapped cigar on the inside. The use of a tobacco leaf instead of cellophane is said allow the cigars to breathe better and retain their natural oils. More than likely, a few unsuspecting smokers have tried to light the cigar before removing the outer wrapper... All you need to do is remove the organic paper band and unwrap the tobacco leaf from around it.

Once you've completed this task, you will find a beautiful Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf wrapped around all-Honduran binder/fillers. The Leaf by Oscar Connecticut is blended by Oscar Valladares, and this was the cigar that really put him on the map. The Leaf by Oscar is available in four blends: Connecticut, Corojo, Sumatra, and Maduro. When smoking, be on the lookout for mild to medium-bodied flavors of cream, baking spices, and leather.
