LeRoy Neiman 2025 Collector's Edition

Few artists captured movement and mood like LeRoy Neiman, often painting with a cigar resting in the corner of his mouth. That connection lives on in the LeRoy Neiman 2025 Collector’s Edition by J.C. Newman Cigar Co., marking the third annual tribute to the legendary expressionist and his ongoing impact on the arts.

This year’s cigar is a 6½” x 52 torpedo, hand-rolled at J.C. Newman’s historic El Reloj factory in Tampa. It wears an Ecuadorian Havana rosado wrapper, clasped around a Florida Sun Grown (FSG) binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. It’s a blend that balances structure and improvisation—nodding to Neiman’s own creative process, where jazz records filled the halls of his Manhattan studio and paint splatters marked the rhythm of his work.

The theme of this year’s release centers on Neiman’s painting “Jazz Horns,” with its bold brass imagery echoed in both the shape of the cigar and the vibrant, art-forward packaging. From the custom lithograph under the box lid to the subtle nods to Neiman’s studio atmosphere, every detail bridges the worlds of fine art and fine tobacco. But more than aesthetics, every cigar sold directly supports arts education in Tampa public schools—ensuring the next generation has the tools to find their own rhythm.
