When Tatuaje and their Surrogates sub-brand debuted the Surrogates Big Ten cigar in 2022, the cigars were made in a limited-edition size that celebrated the brand's 10th anniversary (hence the name). In the years since, the cigar has since expanded to include a regular-production version, as well as a fine-tuned lonsdale that is limited for 2024.
Introducing the Surrogates Big Ten Lonsdale Extra cigar, a connoisseur-geared format that weighs in at 6¾" x 42. Pete Johnson and company have crafted this elegant specimen out of the famed My Father Cigars factory in Nicaragua, making use of an Ecuadorian Habano rosado wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/filler.
In the thin lonsdale format, the Surrogates Big Ten Lonsdale Extra features added focus on the wrapper component, bringing in a concentrated smoke onto the palate. Limited to 1,000 boxes for 2024, expect a medium-plus intensity, hitting complexities of toasted oak, mixed nuts, gentle spice, and brown sugar sweetness through the finish.
