For El Mago Cigars founder Nick Fusco, the Jaguar is more than a name—it’s a memory on four wheels. Inspired by the vintage Jag his grandmother drove, and the built-in lighter his grandfather used to fire up his cigars, Jaguar pays homage to both family heritage and the moments that first sparked Fusco’s love for the craft. Like the rest of El Mago’s portfolio, the cigar ties directly to the legacy of Maria and Gonzalo Torre, whose lives and traditions continue to shape the brand’s story.
Rolled at the MGE Cigars Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, Jaguar is a 6” x 50 box-pressed toro wrapped in an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed leaf. Beneath, a Mexican San Andrés binder anchors Nicaraguan fillers, creating a balanced recipe that bridges sweetness, spice, and earth. Each cigar is presented in an individual square tube (a staple in El Mago's lineup), delivering a sense of occasion with each smoking session.
On the palate, the Jaguar cigar offers a steady medium-bodied profile that opens with sweet wood and toasted spice, followed by cocoa, roasted nuts, and a faint mineral edge. The box press gives it an easy draw, while the blend’s structure keeps flavors in harmony from start to finish. Like the classic ride it’s named for, Jaguar is equal parts style and performance—built to cruise at a comfortable pace, but with enough horsepower to leave a lasting impression.
