One of the things Smoke Inn is known for is the care and attention we put into our exclusive Microblend Series cigars<\/strong><\/a>. If you\u2019re already a confirmed Microblend Series fan, then this blog will serve as a review of some of our favorites and give you an idea of what\u2019s to come. If you haven\u2019t had the pleasure, then we\u2019re happy to introduce you! Just about everyone is familiar with idea of microbrewed beers and ales. About 30 years ago, craft breweries, mostly in the Northeast and Pacific Northwest began to appear. The idea was simple. Create exclusive, small batch brews that were truly unique and without compromise. The microbrews were made by beer guys making they beer they wanted to drink. Smoke Inn\u2019s Microblend Series is very much the same.<\/p>\n

These are Smoke Inn exclusive, small batch cigars made by and for cigar guys. In the case of our Microblend Series, Honest Abe Dababneh himself commissions some of the world\u2019s foremost cigar makers to help him create these exclusive and rare smokes. And thus, the Smoke Inn Microblend Series was born. Today they are one of the favorite features of Smoke Inn aficionados. We release them periodically for special events, holidays, based on themes, or just because. If you really savor a tasty stick and appreciate the extraordinary, we can\u2019t recommend these enough and you\u2019ll only find them at Smoke Inn. With that, here are some notable Microblend Series cigars we think you all should partake in should the opportunity arise.<\/p>\n

Tatuaje: Anarchy – SI Microblend Series Cigar #1<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The very first official Smoke Inn Microblend Series cigar was 2010\u2019s Tatuaje Anarchy. This masterpiece was formulated for Smoke Inn by Pete Johnson of Havana Cellars and the Garcia Family of My Father Cigars. It\u2019s made with a scarce and rare Ecuadorian Habano wrapper that was hand-selected by both Pete & the Garcia family for the Anarchy. The rich, dark and oily wrapper embraces carefully selected Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The cigar is a perfecto a little over 6″ and has a slow taper of 48 to 52 ring gauge. Only 1500 boxes were ever made. You can read a nice review of the Tatuaje Anarchy on Casas Fumando\u2019s website here<\/a>. In fact, the Tatuje Anarchy was such a popular and regaled fan favorite that we had to follow it up with variations on the theme more than once. Witness 2012\u2019s Tatuaje Anarchy Apocalypse<\/a><\/strong> (Smoke Inn Microblend Series cigar #5) and the Tatuaje Anarchy KAOS<\/a><\/strong> (#15) born in 2020. Will there be another Smoke Inn Exclusive Anarchy from Tatuaje? Only time will tell.<\/p>\n

Espinosa: Cage the Dawg – SI Microblend Series Cigar #18<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We\u2019ve introduced you to the illustrious stick that began the Smoke Inn Microblend Series, so it makes sense to tell you about the very latest addition. The Espinosa Cage the Dawg is Microblend Series #18. Espinosa\u2019s SI Exclusive Cage the Dawg<\/a><\/strong> is hand-built with an Ecadorian Habano Rosado wrapper over all-Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Jalapa and Condega regions of Nicaragua. The cigars were rolled in a singular 6\u2033 x 52 toro format and packaged in 10-count paper bundles, limited to 3,000 cigars in total. Crafted out of Espinosa\u2019s artisanal La Zona factory in Estel\u00ed, Cage the Dawg was blended to offer two unique smoking profiles in one cigar.<\/p>\n

Artfully meticulous tobacco sorting and leaf positioning creates conditions that feature the filler tobacco flavors on the initial draw with the taste of the succulent wrapper taking center stage through the retrohale. Personally developed by Erik Espinosa, owner of Espinosa Premium Cigars, who describes it this way: \u201cIt\u2019s almost like two distinct smoking experiences: first the sweetness of filler, followed by the woody and peppery taste of the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Dunbarton T&T: Red Meat Lovers – SI Microblend Series Cigars<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Red Meat Lovers cigars have gotten more popular feedback than many of the sticks we feature and with good reason. These special cigars were blended to be enjoyed with a hearty steak or even a juicy wagyu beef burger. Beginning in 2019 with the original Red Meat Lovers (SI Microblend Series cigar #12) with a glistening reddish-brown all-American Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper taking lead. The Dunbarton T&T Red Meat Lovers cigar<\/a><\/strong> features a Mexican San Andr\u00e9s Negro Oscuro binder. In its core, you will find a purposeful blend of Nicaraguan and U.S. source filler tobaccos. The flavors of creamy oak with sweet dark cherry, earth and leather and black pepper on the retro and perfectly paired with your favorite cut off the backyard grill (or Ruth\u2019s Chris or Morton\u2019s, since we can\u2019t all grill every night). Drew Estate: The Pope of Greenwich Village – SI Microblend Series Cigar #10<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Drew Estate Master Blender Willy Herrera helped create this magnificent stick for Smoke Inn customers. Right off the bat we\u2019ll say if you\u2019re a fan of milder to medium cigars that pack a lot of flavor, this is one for you. The Pope of Greenwich Village<\/a><\/strong> delivers bold flavors of black cherry, tobacco and cedar with cocoa and spice appearing on the retrohale. What\u2019s most extraordinary may be the almost supernatural balance it achieves by delivering such bold flavors without a walloping strength. We promise it\u2019ll be one of the best 90 minutes you\u2019ve spent enjoying a cigar. The cigars drew inspiration from Drew Estate founder Jonathan Drew’s Manhattan upbringing, where the 1984 film of the same name is set. Smoke Inn and Drew Estate chose Drew Estate Master Blender, Willy Herrera to create this spectacular cigar. With access to Drew Estate’s esteemed tobacco vaults of Nicaragua, Brazil, and Connecticut River Valley fine aged tobaccos, Willy assembled what we think is a masterpiece finished with a toothy Mexican San Andr\u00e9s wrapper.<\/p>\n

A.J. Fern\u00e1ndez: Anonymous – SI Microblend Series Cigar #17<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This exotic Cameroon-wrapped delight for the senses comes from bench of none other than Master Blender A.J. Fern\u00e1ndez and his eponymous brand and the mind of Honest Abe Dababneh. True to its name, the A.J. Fern\u00e1ndez Anonymous Smoke Inn Microblend<\/a><\/strong> is shrouded in a bit of mystery. This smokable bit of intrigue is rolled in two unique formats: figurado and box pressed. That allows for subtle variations of the same overall experience, with the figurado offering more evolution from start to finish, while the box-press touts a cool smoking temperature and cleaner flavor nuances. The A.J. Fern\u00e1ndez Anonymous is medium in body with a spicy-sweet character. It rewards the smoker with zesty flavors including notes of red pepper flakes, cedar, cinnamon-coated nuts, and brown sugar sweetness. Anonymous is a one-off release, handmade at the Tabacalera Fern\u00e1ndez factory in Nicaragua, with only 800 bundles of 10 cigars ever created. This one is still available in our store as of this writing, so we strongly advise adding it to your cart and getting some on their way to you while you still can. Room 101: Big Delicious – SI Microblend Series Cigar #6<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Last, but surely not least, we have Smoke Inn Microblend Series Cigar #6, Room 101\u2019s Big Delicious. The name alone kinda says it all. Showcasing a mouthwatering Habano 2000 wrapper with a Honduran Corojo Seco binder and filler tobaccos from Brazil, Honduras, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, it\u2019s like holding a little magic in your hand. A bit of insider info, the \u201cBig Delicious\u201d gets its name from Matt Booth\u2019s nickname for our own Honest Abe Dababneh who collaborated with Booth on this magnificent creation.<\/p>\n

There can be no doubt, that a lot of love and attention went into creating this stick. The flavors exuded are so complexed and nuanced they are almost difficult to describe, but rich mahogany wood, spice and cocoa come to mind. We think Halfwheel did a pretty stellar job of describing it when they said this: \u201cIt’s big and bold to start before beginning an extended dance of moving from creamy and near mild to almost full-bodied and robust, thanks to notes of spice, pepper and earth that sneak up and hit you square in the face with eye-watering smoke<\/em>.\u201d Incidentally, Halfwheel rated it 91<\/a><\/strong>, which we\u2019re pretty proud of. Suffice it to say this is a really special cigar. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on one to enjoy, you\u2019re in for a treat.<\/p>\n
