I think I must be the world\u2019s most unique cigar smoker in two distinct ways because:<\/p>\n
a) just about every cigar I\u2019ve smoked the last couple of years has been older than I am\u2026 and I turned 80 this year!<\/p>\n
b) the full retail price of those cigars was anywhere from 5 cents to 2 for 15 cents!<\/p>\n
Me and some guy named Tony something or other out in California both have private cigar museums. Now, during the Cigar Boom Years lots of people were interested in hanging out in the museum and smoking some of these ancient cigars, but frankly\u2026 those days are over. My children (children? Some are over 50 years old\u2026 not really children anymore) well, they have asked \u201cwhat are you gonna do with the cigar museum?… or what are we supposed to do with it someday after you are gone?\u201d<\/p>\n
Well, I thought about taking pictures of all that stuff and putting it on E-Bay, but there\u2019s thousands of items and\u2026 and\u2026 HEY! I\u2019m retired! I\u2019m really not interested in creating a job for myself sending thousands and thousands of packages out to people and reporting sales and taxes and all the happy shit that goes into being in business\u2026 no! I\u2019m done with that shit. \u00a0I just wanna sit in my freakin\u2019 recliner and take a nap for God\u2019s sakes!<\/p>\n
So, I called a couple of museums to see if they\u2019d be interested in taking the collection (for free\u2026 I\u2019m not looking to make any money off of it. Well, now that I think about it\u2026 maybe I could get a tax deduction?) and making a permanent museum area for it, but nobody ever called me back.<\/p>\n
So, I\u2019m gonna have to give some more thought on what to do with all the historic boxes and signs and documents. But first I\u2019m gonna get busy and start smoking up all these old cigars\u2026 I just gotta remember to wear old clothes \u2018cause I keep falling asleep and the ashes end up in my lap.<\/p>\n
