The King is dead. Long live the King! You’ve heard the expression before - whether it was Mark Twain’s “The Prince and the Pauper”, the original French declaration, “Le roi est mort, vive le roi !” (upon the death of King Charles VII), or maybe (most likely) when Scar betrayed Mufasa in “The Lion King”!

The phrase traditionally represents the end of an era, replaced by the new and modern. But for Caldwell’s premium lineup, “Caldwell Collection”, you can (and should) enjoy both the new and old interchangeably!

The King is Dead showcases artistic imagery of a split throne - the cigars, like all in the Caldwell Collection, highlight rare and vintage tobaccos. A Negrito Dominicano wrapper from the 2008 crop is skillfully rolled over an ’06 Corojo Dominicano binder and Dominican fillers of ’06, ’08, and ’10 vintages.

The king may be dead but he’s certainly not forgotten with this royally intricate and ultimately impressive blend!
