Introducing the Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla, an intoxicating collaboration from the likes of Espinosa Premium Cigars and Cigar Dojo. This legendary release was first introduced in 2014, with 1,000 bundles of 10 cigars selling out soon thereafter. The cigars—named for showcasing an irresistible profile not unlike the western soda itself—were quick to gain a cult following, with demand growing for more Sarsaparilla! A sequel was later released in a new format in 2016, yet demand continued to outpace supply.
Seven years after the original release, Espinosa and Cigar Dojo have re-released the "Sassy" cigar in its original 5½” x 52 belicoso format. Giving the cigar the proper regular release treatment, the bands have been tweaked and bundles swapped for Wild West boxes. But make no mistake, the tobacco recipe and smoking experience are unchanged. This includes all-Nicaraguan tobaccos from Condega and Estelí used throughout the binder/filler, finished with an oily Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper. The end result showcases a medium-full intensity, with standout complexities of punchy earth, black licorice, freshly roasted coffee beans, and of course, sweet sarsaparilla root!
