The Micallef A cigar was tailor made for Micallef's popular fan club, the Micallef Cigars Ambassador Group. Before launching nationally, the blend pre-released as Micallef to be Named, allowing the club to come up with the cigar's concept themselves. Originally landing on Micallef Ambassador, the name was shortened to Micallef A at the time of the cigar's launch in the fall of 2020.
Crafted for the everyday cigar enthusiast, Micallef A is both flavorful and affordable. This is accomplished through the selection of a Nicaraguan Sumatra maduro wrapper (an uncommon leaf, no doubt), a Sumatra binder, and fillers of Nicaragua and the DR. This atypical concoction makes for an exciting smoking experience, jumping out of the gate with flavors of black pepper, baker's cocoa, and toasted oak. These zesty notes later mature into a medium-bodied profile of leather, punchy cinnamon, and sweet raisins through the finish.
