Gurkha Cigars debuted the Treinta in 2019 in commemoration of the company's 30th anniversary, with the name translating from Spanish to mean Thirty. This milestone helped to usher in a significant transition for Gurkha, partnering with the acclaimed Aganorsa Leaf factory in Nicaragua for the first time.

Aganorsa Leaf is well known within craft-smoking circles throughout the cigar industry, using authentic Cuban cigar-crafting techniques such as entubado bunching. Additionally, Aganorsa operates one of the top two largest agricultural operations of premium tobacco throughout Nicaragua. Naturally, Gurkha made good use of this asset, selecting choice Aganorsa tobacco throughout Gurkha Treinta's binder and filler. This includes Nicaraguan Corojo '99 and Criollo '98 within the filler, and a Nicaraguan Corojo '99 binder. The blend is finished with an Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper, tying the experience together with beautiful balance. The end result is a medium-bodied profile, showing fine-tuned complexities of toasted nuts, clean cedar, citrus zest, dried fruit sweetness, and graham cracker crust.

If you’re thinking about trying a Ghurka this is a great entry to try. I’m still learning an about flavors and I got some really unique ones in this cigar: caramel, pecan, potato chips, baking spice.

On the retro I got salted dough, but this is the most unique one. When I was a kid my grandmother used to make blueberry muffins and I would lick the bowl. The last 3rd of this cigar I picked this flavor up. Unusual I know but I corresponds to fruit and muffin? I enjoyed this cigar, it had a great burn, didn’t need any touch ups, and is something I’d definitely get at least a 5 pack of to keep in the humidor.
