The Buffalo TEN Maduro by El Artista Cigars was the first blend under the Buffalo TEN collection, debuting in 2019 as the brainchild of Radhames "Ram" Rodriguez, a rising young star in the boutique cigar space. With this project, Ram went with a simplistic approach, bringing out a diverse selection of tobacco and pricing the cigars to move.
At first glance, Buffalo TEN looks more like a grab-'n-go snack that you might find in a souvenir shop while backpacking through Rocky Mountain National Park. This is all part of the charm, with the cigars being casually wrapped in craft paper bundles. With a quick tear, you'll be presented with five dark and tightly box-pressed beauties.
Compared to the Buffalo TEN Natural, the original Buffalo TEN Maduro cigar offers the most complex recipe. This begins with a toothy Mexican San Andrés wrapper, secured over a unique Dominican Negrito binder and multinational fillers of the USA, Colombia, and the DR (a a proprietary T-13 hybrid leaf). This diverse collection of tobaccos combines to showcase more flavor than the affordable price point suggests, lighting up with a medium-full body and rich flavors of earth, campfire, chicory coffee, and touches of brown sugar.
