In 2016, Christian Eiroa celebrated his 20th anniversary in the cigar industry. Marking the occasion, Christian was gifted a special selection of tobaccos by his father, Julio Eiroa, harvested on his famed tobacco fields of Honduras. These leaves were used to roll a commemorative cigar known as Eiroa The First 20 Years, later followed by a lighter-wrapped variation, Eiroa The First 20 Years Colorado. This cigar makes use of high-caliber Honduran tobaccos throughout, being finalized with a signature Corojo wrapper that was aged for over five years in order to achieve the specific Colorado shade that sets the blend apart. Flavor characteristics include that of sourdough bread, nutmeg, clean cedar, and rock candy sweetness.

This cigar provides an amazing balance between a black pepper and mineral note with a slight sweetness and a retrohale that tastes like the most incredible, rich vanilla ice cream you’ve ever had. This is a flavor bomb and while there might not be a lot of transitions, trust me you don’t want that vanilla ice cream going anywhere. This is definitely an example of what an anniversary cigar should be and a smoking experience everyone should try. After enjoying it through the COTM I had to buy a box!
