Excuse us for the philosophical intro, it seemed fitting for the artistic nature of this burgeoning new brand. The Eastern Standard is the first cigar in Caldwell’s premium lineup, known as the “Caldwell Collection”. And as we mentioned, it’s a cigar that will standout in the humidor from its unique design.

And while the artistic presentation may reel you in, it’s the smoking experience that’ll keep you coming back. Caldwell Collection cigars utilize rare and vintage tobaccos, displaying the blending recipe front and center. For this, the most mild of the bunch, a Connecticut Hybrid Ecuadoriano wrapper from the ’06 crop covers equally impressive binder and filler tobaccos; all ranging from 2005 - 2008, from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.

One thing’s for sure, this is one project that doesn’t “follow the herd”.

    At first draw, a slight citrus note shines along with a little pepper and leather. About midway, a toasted malted milk ball flavor comes through to the finish. A great breakfast smoke or dessert smoke.
