As has been tradition since 2011, Davidoff Cigars unveiled a limited-edition cigar blend to coincide with the Chinese zodiac calendar. The cigar is dubbed Davidoff Year of the Ox Limited Edition 2021, intended to help kick off the Year of the Ox, which begins on February 12, 2021.
The ox zodiac is described as being strong, hardworking, and honest. In addition, Chinese culture values the animal for its important role in agriculture. Davidoff has applied these traits to craft a special smoking experience, bringing strength and body to a commanding 6" x 60 gordo format. The agricultural influence is near and dear to Davidoff as well, being closely integrated with the innovative TabaDom operation in the Dominican Republic.
Bringing the ox to life, Davidoff's Master Blenders have selected an ultra-premium blend from their vast tobacco inventories, showcasing a Dominican wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and a whopping five fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. As has become expected from the series, the cigars' packaging is beyond compare, featuring a curved wood base that invokes imagery of an oxen's horns. Limited to 13,500 boxes worldwide, Davidoff Year of the Ox Limited Edition 2021 brings a next-level experience for collectors and connoisseurs alike, offering fine-tuned characteristics of raw honey, wild botanicals, clean cedar, hazelnut, and dark chocolate.
