In 2019, two absolute powerhouse cigar companies came together for a collaboration known as “La Coalición.” The two companies behind this cigar are none other than Drew Estate and Crowned Heads... let that sink in for a moment. Crowned Heads La Coalición fittingly translates to mean The Coalition or The Alliance, being rolled by Drew Estate and sold by Crowned Heads.

La Coalición starts with a beautiful Grade-A Dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, followed by a Sumatra binder, and rounded off by aged fillers from Nicaraguan and the Dominican Republic. The blend was a collaboration between Willy Herrera, master blender of Drew Estate, and Jon Huber, co-owner of Crowned Heads. With such high expectations, these powerhouse companies did not disappoint, showcasing a deeply flavorful, full-bodied smoking experience of earth, cinnamon, sweet syrup, charred oak, and chocolate-covered cherries.

    Put Crowned Heads and Drew Estate together and you get one of the best collaborations in recent history. Willy Herrera outdid himself with this one. The rough CT Broadleaf wrapper on this cigar is toothy and ruddy and delicious. My preferred sizes are the Gordito and Siglo. Always present in my rotation.
