Avo 30 Years LE05 2018 Robusto Gordo

Over the course of AVO Cigars' 30-plus years in the cigar industry, two cigars have managed to climb their way into a special place for the company's most die-hard fans. Lucky for cigar enthusiasts, both of these cigars have been re-crafted in 2018 for AVO's 30th anniversary.

One such cigar is the AVO LE05, a unique blend that first debuted in 2005 as the company's annual limited edition offering. This blend is debatably the finest AVO cigar ever crafted, offering such a unique profile that the cigar proved difficult for master blenders Hendrik "Henke" Kelner and Eladio Díaz to recreate in past anniversaries. While other popular AVO blends have seen re-released from time to time, the AVO LE05 was never quite right... until now.

AVO LE05 30th Anniversary showcases the same blend as the original, using a select Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican fillers and binder. This recreation offers updated packaging that shows familiar cues from the original release. But modern bands and a new sub-band (featuring AVO's 30th Anniversary imagery) have been used, allowing enthusiasts and collectors to distinguish the AVO LE05 30th Anniversary from the original release. With some of the Kelner family's most choice, unique tobaccos being used for this special blend, only 1,500 boxes of 20 cigars (30,000 cigars total) have been rolled. Expect a mild to medium body, showing incredibly refined flavors of buttered nuts, oak, citrus-forward coffee, leather, and sweet, caramel-covered nougat.
