From the dynamic father and son duo, Christian and father Julio Eiroa, makers of Camacho, comes the new exclusive and limited release, Camacho Limited Harvest 2005.
In the spring of 2005, I visited Camp Camacho in Danli, Honduras. As always, the Eiroas were the most gracious hosts and showed me the best of times. The highlight of this trip was when Don Julio showed me some of the nicest wrapper I had ever seen. He explained to me that this wrapper was very special and of a new strain that he had grown in the mineral rich soil of the Jamastran Valley. His dilemma was that the harvest was very limited and that there was only enough wrapper to make approximately 50,000 cigars. After smoking a cigar made form the limited wrapper leaf, I knew that I had to have them all. After days of constructive discussions, (ok, I was basically begging) Don Julio agreed to let me buy the lot. Approximately 1650 boxes have been made, 330 of 5 different vitolas. So don't waste time because they won't last. This unique wrapper combined with the rich fillers that Camacho has been known for make for an explosion of flavor without the "Say Uncle" effect of traditional Camacho cigars.
